JUVÉDERM® is an injectable, FDA-approved dermal filler used to treat facial lines and wrinkles and to restore lost volume in various areas of the face.
JUVÉDERM® is routinely used to soften laugh lines (nasolabial folds), create fuller lips, lift cheeks, fill in tear troughs, and enhance the chin, among other cosmetic indications.
The injection is made up of cross-linked hyaluronic acid suspended in clear gel. Our tissue naturally contains hyaluronic acid.

How does JUVÉDERM® work?*
JUVÉDERM® is injected just below the skin and replaces the collagen layer that deteriorates with age. It adds fullness to smooth out wrinkles and also attracts water molecules in order to help promote additional volume, resulting in a smoother and more youthful appearance. Over time, JUVÉDERM® helps the body to stimulate some of its own natural collagen production.
What should I expect from a JUVÉDERM® injection?
You might experience some minor swelling in the injection area for a couple of days. Take extra steps to protect your skin from sun exposure following your injection.
No downtime is needed following a JUVÉDERM® injection, and you can resume your regular daily activities while enjoying immediate results.
The average length of correction from a JUVÉDERM® injection lasts nine months to one year, but some patients see results for even longer. The length of your results depends on many factors, including the area that is treated.
